János László

To be true. To return to our clear, mental self. This is the aim of János László in both human and artistic qualities. The joy of recognition and discovery becomes integral part of his art through meditation or many times through a woman, – at the same time he pays his respects to women. He balances the deep content with fresh dynamism and ease and in some cases he also adds humour and irony to his works. His paintings, graphics and box-pictures are pervaded by the silent, lightsome engrossment and curiosity, the calmness of acceptance, with which he looks at the world: „In the paternoster of our soul Buddhas and Jesuses travel up and down. They don’t ask anything, just watch us thoughtfully, such as we examine the water we drink. Bad pubs and good shops walk along with us. “ (János László)
